From a Rosé focused event to a Sparkling wine event, we’re doing it all! So get your tickets to our next party with Wine Slushies + get the whole crew together and be sure to get your tix to 2017 Summer Wine Jam – we’ve already got 80+ wines to sip and earlybird tickets are already almost sold out!
Until then, let’s celebrate the weekend with Sparkling!
Here were some of the favourites from our Bubbly Bar event last week!
It’s all in the name – when a wine says ‘relax’ that is indeed what you need to do while you are sipping it! This light and zippy Sparkling is from Germany and its one of our favourites because of how approachable it is. It is a great example of an Old World wine with a ‘New World’ spin. From patio sipping to brunching with the girls, the bubbles are light and aromatic so it’s the kind of wine you can reach for no matter the occasion!
Tasting Note: Cuveé of selected grapes from well known European wine growing regions. Manufacturing method: Tank fermentation via modern large-capacity tanks. After fermentation -6 month- the yeast will be separated from the Sparkling wine. The requested taste of the “purified” clear Sparkling will be adjusted with the dosage and bottled via Schmitt Sohne

Pierre Sparr Cremant d’ Alsace Brut Reserve
This sophisticated Sparkler was a crowd favourite at our Bubbly Bar event because of its intensely creamy texture on the palette reminding a lot of our members of a Sparkling more akin to a Champagne style! The Pinot Blanc base in this wine lends itself to a more complex Sparkling wine. Sip this wine on its own or in Mimosas for a fabulous weekend treat!
Tasting Note: Clear pale lemon with fine mousse; subtle aromas of pink grapefruit, white flower and toast; on the palate it is dry and medium bodied, with pronounced flavours of crisp citrus and a hint of bread dough via LCBO

Cono Sur Sparkling Pinot Noir Rosé
It’s impossible not to fall in love with this Sparkling from Chile! The gorgeous pink hue is exactly what you want in your glass on hot Summer days in The6ix! At just under $15 you can’t beat this all around delish pink bubbly. It’s not sold in all LCBO stores, so be sure to check the inventory online at your preferred location.
Tasting Note: Pale salmon colour; aromas of wild raspberry, rhubarb and a hint of earth; on the palate it is dry with bright acidity and medium bodied; the flavours reflect the sweet red berry fruit detected on the nose with a clean finish via LCBO
Find it for $14.15 at the LCBO here!
Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut Champagne
You can’t have a bubbly bar event without some traditional method Sparkling! This Champagne was a hit at the event and is totally our Champagne choice du jour. Next time you’re celebrating something special, or perhaps just looking for a mid-week pick me up, pop open a bottle of PJ and chill.
Tasting Note: Pale lemon colour; delicate aromas of brioche, baked apple and citrus; extra dry with fine mousse and flavours of apple and soft citrus; lengthy finish via LCBO
