My Favourite Ontario Wine Country Experience – PLEASE VOTE!
This September I was lucky enough to be able to showcase on camera how much I love Ontario Wine. I was fortunate enough to be chosen to represent the Ontario Wine Industry as an ambassador for local wine by the LCBO – and what an honour it was. On August 15th, 2011, I had one of the most amazing wine country moments I have had in my entire life. Now this isn’t an easy title to have as growing up in wine country I seem to remember lots of amazing memories that can date back to when I was as young as 16. In fact, below is a video which was filmed over a decade ago at the exact same location that my commercial was. This is a video of my very first wine video EVER. This video on the winemaking process I created for my High School french project and it was filmed at Vineland Estates Winery when I was 19 years old. My sister Jolene was the videographer (at 14 years old) for this video and a special thanks goes out to my Dad (who found it on VHS and transferred it to DVD) and of course to my Mom who helped me get my job at Vineland Estates. Thankfully, I was able to place the video up on youtube for everyone to see – although I have to say I am thankful my wardrobe and hair choices have definitely improved over the years! Personally I think it is a pretty funny piece, but having a video like this to me seems just so crazy. Who knew that 13 years down the road, I would be filming my very own TV commercial at the very same location for all of Ontario to see. Life can be so ironic and amazing at the very same time.

Filming my first ever actual TV commercial at Vineland Estates Winery this August reminded me how much the Ontario Wine Industry has helped to make me into the person I am today. When I began at Vineland Estates Winery over 13 years ago, I would never have thought that I would be doing what I am doing today (a wine blogger and a wine club coordinator). And fortunately, I have had the ultimate pleasure of watching the local wine industry in this province grow to where it is today, and they have had the pleasure of also watching me grow as well. As a huge Ontario Wine Advocate, II couldn’t be more proud than I am today to be from a place with such passionate people and world class wines – it makes me proud. Both of these 2 films really showcase 2 of my most favourite and absolute monumental memories and moments I have of the Ontario Wine Industry. They have shown to me that life can happen in mysterious and magical ways and it has also proven to me that passion and hard work can take you really far in life.

Now, this blog post is written to showcase my favourite memory of the Ontario Wine industry – and both of these video showcase amazing memories – which happen to be at the same winery. However, to this day I still create memories (for myself and for my members) with the beauty of Ontario Wine by bringing buses and tours to Niagara wine country and passionately showcasing my love and passion for Ontario Wine. So please help me my voting for this blog as your favourite blog showcasing a favourite Ontario Wine Country experiences! These 2 experiences (luckily both video-taped) have really been some of my most treasured and memorable experiences In Ontario Wine Country.
