Hi Wine Clubbers! Welcome to my Wine Club! I started iYellow in 2006, just shortly after I had moved from the Niagara region to Toronto. Toronto is an amazing city, and has a lot to offer anyone who is interested in food and wine. But in making the move from farm to city, I realized just how spoiled I had been by my proximity to the vines, and easy conversation about wine I had through my entire life coming of age. I realized that there simply wasn’t a club I wanted to join, that fit my lifestyle as a young person interested in wine… So, I started my own conversation.

I started blogging about wine to share and build my knowledge with family and friends – and before I knew it, my following started growing.  The club (true to it’s original blog name) is called iYellow Wine Club, as a phonetic throwback to my last name. Since that time, iYellow has grown from a short blog to an established wine club community of over 5,000 members, all while continuing to offer a free membership. Paxton Allewell (paxtonallewell.com) was instrumental in the beginning stages of founding iYellow Wine Club. The two of us would make homemade wine videos and throw parties for friends – we had a lot of fun with wine!  Four years and many bottles of wine later my passion for teaching people about wine is stronger than ever.

No matter how you want to learn about wine, iYellow can help build your wine confidence. You can learn socially at our events where you can talk about wine with friends in a relaxed and social environment. You can experience wine on our tours as we touch the vineyards and talk with winemakers. You can formally learn about wine at our interactive and approachable wine school, and you can also learn on your own with our new wine club website where you can read articles, watch videos and interact with other members. You can also join our group on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, subscribe to our YouTube channel, and check out our pics on Flickr

So as a member, if you’re looking for something that we don’t offer when it comes to wine, let us know, as we want to continue to develop our program offerings and are always looking to make our members happy. As iYellow continues to evolve, I look forward to what the future will bring, and taking the club in new and exciting directions.
